Our purpose at Americans for Life is to promote life, in a positive manner as an infinitely valuable gift from God, through the use of the internet and media advertisements.

  Life is a wonderful and beautiful thing. There is nothing that is more valuable. The things which we tend to value highly such as wealth, fame, power and prestige, fade into insignificance by comparison. In the absence of life such things are meaningless. God is the author and giver of life. As the creator of life, God loves life and He loves us. He created us to have a relationship with Him and He wants us to live with him forever. This desire on the part of God is expressed in the theme verse of Americans for Life, namely John 10:10:

The thief (Satan) comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I (Jesus) came that they might have life and might have it abundantly.

  Only God can create life. Man cannot create life. Nor can Satan. They can only destroy life. The Bible makes it clear that the taking of an innocent life is contrary to God's will and is an act of defiance against him. Virtually everyone agrees that murder, as expressed in one of the 10 Commandments, is wrong. While abortion is not specifically mentioned in the Bible, there are numerous biblical passages that make it clear God values the life of the pre-born, and that they are a living soul.   Americans for Life seeks to encourage people to think about the value of life and especially the value of the life of the pre-born. The pre-born have no voice, no political power and no say over where they live or die. But we who are alive do have a voice and we seek to speak for them. So what about you my friend? Do you think you'd be better off if you'd never been born? If you were born in America after 1973, your mother could have legally terminated your life before you were born. This is the harsh reality of abortion. In fact, since 1973 over 50 million pre-born lives have been legally terminated in America. This is a national tragedy. If you are alive today you should thank your mother for preserving your life. If like the vast majority of people, you value your life and are grateful that you were born, then you are in fact, like us, pro-life. We are also pro-choice but we believe that that choice should belong to the unborn child not to the mother. The only way to determine what the unborn child would choose, since they have no voice, is to evaluate what the living would choose since they have a voice. Again, the living choose life almost universally.
